There are three tactics you can obtain in-game, that improves your efficiency against Undead monsters in Warhammer (including alot of the mobs in Land of The Dead). This guide (so far only optimized for Orderside) will explain how to get all of the three tactics mentioned. The three tactics are the following:
* Benediction of Morr - (Undead Chill) - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters.
* Benediction of Winters - (Undead Will) - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters, and take 5% less damage from them.
* Benediction of the Dead - (Undead Longevity) - You deal 5% more damage to all enemy Undead monsters, and take 5% less damage from them. As long as you are attacking a monster of this type, your abilities will cool down 2 seconds faster.
In total you have to collect 12 fragments to get all three tactics. For each 4 fragments, you get a new tactic. E.g. 8 fragments would net you "Benediction of Winters", so would 10 fragments; but 12 fragments would net you "Benediction of the Dead".
For some of the fragments, it is required that you go to Tier 1 & Tier 2. These fragments will be marked with [Req. Tier X] (X being the Tier they are in).
On Core, obtaining all 12 fragments as L40 should be no problem. However, on Open-RvR servers, an alt is required. I did all these with a L18 White Lion, with my main following as a chicken. If at any point you are turned into a chicken, even though your character should be able to be at the spot in normal form, re-logging helps.
Comments regarding the mobs' level are added, if important. Expect a trivial resistance otherwise.
"QUEST" FRAGMENTS (ORDER & DESTRUCTION)
6 of the 12 fragments are "quests". What we first want to do is to obtain these 6 easy fragments, and also obtain our first tactic:
* Kill Halman Meusmann - Ostland - 50K | 18K [Req. Tier 2].
* Right click on a Faded Scroll - Ostland - Gerstmann Crupt - 30K | 18K [Req. Tier 2] - Dropped from skeleton mobs. Either Boneshard Minion or Skeletal Gebauer.
* Kill the Spolfinkr Family - Annabelle, Croetch, Papa, and Tomas - Chaos Wastes - 15K | 58K.
* Kill Vilesoul - L38 Champ - Chaos Wastes - 40K | 57K.
* Kill Wulgrig - Cinderfall - 43K | 3K - Destruction kills skeletons until he pops up (thank you Stunty Stomper) - Part of Order Quest line and have to interact with a pile of rocks.
* Kill Mabel Riess - L31 Champ - Reikland - 12.8K | 44K to 10K | 46K (roaming mob) - Spawns at night only (after 20:00. Type /time in-game to get the current time).
Now we have 6 fragments left to obtain our 3rd tactic (2 left for the 2nd tactic). These are the rest of the 6 fragments which I've found been the easiest to obtain:
* Kill 1,000 Wraiths - Thorshafn Crypt - 31K | 5K [Req. Tier 1] - getting to this crypt is a bit tricky. Here's the instructions on how to get there: Descend the cliffs at 46K 23K to avoid Rank55 Champ guards (you will be made into a chicken after descending the cliffs, but it should be removed as you progress. If not, re-log). Cross the river and go through Thorshafn. Cimb the cliffs at 41K 8.8K. When you get to the highest part of the cliff, jump towards the right, this will take you several attempts (picture will be included later to illustrate this).
* Kill 1,000 Wights - The Shadowlands - Broken Dune PQ - 46K | 4K [Req. Tier 2] - this PQ also includes some Wraiths during Stage 2. You can kill them if you wish.
* Kill 1,000 Banshees - Marshes of Madness - Foul Ruins PQ - 6K | 27K [Req. Tier 2] - kill 125 Bog Zombies during stage 1. Kill all the Banshees you see during Stage 2, and also try to finish Stage 2 itself as late as you can. During Stage 3, skeletons will walk around and repair the pillars you just destroyed - let them do this. Failing Stage 3 will take you back to Stage 2 and allowing you to yet again kill Banshees.
* Kill 100 Ushabtis - Land of the Dead - Hall of the Heavens PQ - 23K | 12K - finish off stage 1 of this PQ and stage 2 will spawn 20 Ushabtis for you to kill. Repeat this 5 times and you have your fragment.
* Kill 1,000 Asp Bone Constructs - Land of the Dead - Pit of Asaph PQ - 13K | 14K - finish stage 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Stage 3 will spawn small, small Asp Bones in the 4 pits at this PQ. Keep killing these for the whole duration of stage 3. You can kill normal Spitting Asps (ranged mobs) and Striking Asps (melee mobs) in-between the respawns and during the reset-timer.
* Kill 1,000 Scarab Bone Constructs - Land of the Dead - Pit of Kem Senef PQ - 13K | 37K - good spot for Ranged DPS. Quickly run up to the chest and jump back again. This will create a hole in the ground and you can throw your AoE down below, and kill the scarabs. Don't destroy the piles of dirt during Stage 2 - unless you want to kill the Boss. Doable by Melee DPS aswell, at a slower rate.
If you are not Ranged DPS:
* Kill 1,000 Liches - Marhes of Madness - Agymah's Lair PQ - 40K | 62K [Req. Tier 2] - only the Tomb Sworns count as Liches in this PQ.
